Post Signs
The use of this type of structure, whether non-illuminated or with self contained illumination or floodlighting, is becoming more and more popular in a wide variety of applications such as office complexes, motor dealerships and industrial estates. Such signs have been used extensively on garage fore-courts, but as planning regulations become slightly more relaxed the sizes have increased.
There is something truly satisfying about a sign which reflects the architecture of the building and which becomes an integral part of the overall structure.
We refer to these as "Free Standing Architectural Structures", but equally they could be referred to as Obelisks, Towers or Pylon Signs. However, irrespective of the terminology they must all be carefully considered and designed to ensure manufacture to a standard that will maintain structural integrity and appearance over the years.
Escott Signs will work from your own visual to design the finished structure, or carry out both creative design and manufacture on your behalf. The construction of large free standing structures should not be taken lightly, and we will automatically consult structural engineers, if we consider it necessary, to vet our design to ensure that longevity is guaranteed.
Attempting to write specifications for signs of this type can only restrict the vast range of options for materials and finishes available. These are never standard signs and will be designed to suit specific needs and requiremnets.
